The Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund has launched the global Peace Is campaign to amplify the voices of women on the frontlines of crisis and conflict. In partnership with WPHF, World Pulse, with support from the World Pulse Research and Evaluation Group, are hosting a call for stories to ensure that women’s lived experiences and visions for peace are heard worldwide.
We invite you to share your personal stories and initiatives that show what peace means to you, the challenges you face, solutions you are championing, and your recommendations for the way forward.

How can I participate?
Share your story. You can write your story, upload a video or audio clip, or create artwork to illustrate your experience. Just be sure to post to World Pulse and tag your submission with Peace Is. Stories tagged with Peace Is shared will be considered for World Pulse Story Awards.

What happens after I share my story or initiative?
Submitting your story or initiative on WorldPulse.org will be interpreted as your informed consent to participate and have your submission inform campaign outputs, such as online features, advocacy initiatives, and potentially external promotion on World Pulse and/or WPHF channels.
By participating in this campaign, your story or initiative will be self-published on World Pulse and may be featured on our social media channels and in related campaign materials.
World Pulse will make efforts to contact you if your story has been selected to be featured in an output like social media promotion, a report, or external advocacy. Please ensure that your email address associated with your account is up to date.
What are the potential safety concerns or risks of participating?
Posting online can carry risks. Speaking about politically sensitive issues, conflict, or injustice can potentially expose you to intimidation, surveillance, or other risks.
Please remember that your username and profile image are public. If you prefer more privacy, you can adjust your profile settings or post under an alias.
We recommend reviewing best practices in our Safety & Security Toolkit.

How are Story and Initiative Awards selected?
World Pulse and members of the World Pulse Research and Evaluation Group will review stories and select submissions for Story and Initiative Awards based on:
-
The power of the narrative and how it conveys personal experiences.
-
Relevance to current events or peace-related issues.
-
Regional diversity, as we strive for a broad, representative final line-up.
-
Community response (comments, encouragements, and loves) may also be taken into consideration.
Initiatives will also be considered based on:
-
The strength of the project and clarity of its goals.
-
The novelty of the idea or innovative approach.
-
The impact created or potential to create change.
-
The consistency of updates provided over time.

Can I use AI tools to write my submission?
While we understand that AI tools are useful for things like brainstorming and outlining ideas, please keep in mind that our authentic stories are our power. We are looking for stories that are real, human, and personal — that is the strength of the World Pulse network: our voices.
Remember that we are not looking for perfectly polished pieces; awarded submissions will go through a supportive editing process with World Pulse editors before publication.
Can I submit in any language?
Stories and Initiatives may be shared in any language. To support wider reach and impact, World Pulse and WPHF will prioritize stories submitted in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic, as these are the languages in which we can provide professional translation and editing support.
Stories in other languages are still welcome and valued, though they may have more limited opportunities for cross-promotion if we are unable to identify translation support for editing.
