What is a Featured Changemaker?

Featured Changemakers are World Pulse members who have received additional recognition for their initiatives and impact. World Pulse periodically selects small groups of Featured Changemakers who have made significant progress in implementing their projects and have reported verifiable impact in their community.

What are the additional benefits for Featured Changemakers?

Once you’re recognized as a Featured Changemaker, in addition to the benefits for Changemakers, you’ll benefit from:

  • Amplification of your initiative and your call to action.
  • Eligibility for a World Pulse Voices Rising Award, an annual recognition given each March celebrating extraordinary leadership in the World Pulse community.
  • Eligibility for public speaking opportunities and global engagements related to the issue your addressing with your change-making initiative.
  • Personalized strategic support
  • And more!

What is the difference between Changemakers and Featured Changemakers?

A World Pulse Changemaker is anyone who has launched an Initiative on World Pulse. This will make them eligible to opportunities such as the Changemakers’ Lab, the Mentoring Program, and based on their engagement and activity on World Pulse, they may be invited to issue-focused convenings for collective action.

Changemakers can be eligible to become Featured Changemakers if they fulfill the Changemakers’ Lab, or if their initiative is at an advanced stage, has had considerable impact on their community, and has reported on their impact through at least two Initiative updates on World Pulse. Featured Changemakers  receive additional benefits, stated in the previous question.

Can a Changemaker or Featured Changemaker participate in other World Pulse programs and opportunities?

Yes! Changemakers and Featured Changemakers are encouraged to regularly share stories on World Pulse, encourage new members, and participate in future offerings. And without a doubt, you can be a World Pulse Digital Ambassador, Encourager, or Featured Storyteller at the same time as being a Changemaker or Featured Changemaker. Just take into consideration that some of these leadership tracks, including participating in the Changemakers’ Lab, require some time commitment, so make sure you’re taking care of yourself too.

What is the Changemakers’ Lab?

The Changemakers’ Lab is an in-depth six-month training program focused on creating, strengthening, enhancing, and/or escalating your transformative project or advocacy campaign strategy. The ultimate goal is for you to design a robust and impactful theory of change, strategy, and action plan for your initiative. Every month, there will be a set of pre-recorded training sessions for you to watch, absorb and integrate to your initiative at your own pace.

At the same time, every month we will hold a live session meant for you to connect and co-create with your peers, and for you to support each other when sharing your ideas, questions, and challenges. These sessions are opportunities to put the ideas and the theory into action.

Additionally, we will provide live training sessions conducted by leading organizations in the field, as well as personalized coaching sessions.

The Changemakers’ Lab is designed to be a complement to your changemaking work.
