Mentoring requires listening, accountability and curiosity.

Mentors should be willing and available to participate in monthly video calls with their mentee.

  • Mentors should be willing to sign a contract and make a strong commitment to the six-month program.
  • Mentors will actively check WorldPulse.com and leave comments and encouragement to their mentee’s stories and Impact Dashboard.
  • Mentees will take the Community Mentoring Orientation Training from the Digital Empowerment Training Suite.
  • Mentors will participate in a program celebration and feedback call.
  • Mentors will share feedback with World Pulse staff on the Community Mentoring Program.

Remember, applicants don’t need special qualifications to be amazing mentors. Mentors hold space, listen, ask questions and ultimately help mentees be accountable to the goals they have for themselves and their organizations. The program is not about skills training. The focus is on leadership development and personal growth.

If you’re willing to listen, ask supportive questions and help another woman reach her goals and highest potential, then you are qualified to be a mentor!
